THREE INJURED, INCLUDING TEEN AND DAD, IN HEAD-ON CRASH IN SANTEE

August 20, 2016 (Santee) – Three people have been hospitalized following a head-on crash at Carlton Oaks Drive and Oakbourne Road in Santee yesterday at 12:35 p.m.

According to Sergeant Mike McNeill with the Sheriff’s department in Santee, deputies found that a 2009 Nissan Xterra traveling west at 65 miles an hour collided with a 2004Toyota minivan turning east onto Carlton Oaks from off Oakbourne.  The crash caused the Nissan to overturn and come to rest in the middle of the roadway.

The Toyota driver suffered serious injuries and his 16-year-old son, who was a passenger in the front seat, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan was also injured. All were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
