TIPS FROM PUBLIC LEAD TO ARREST OF WOMAN SUSPECT OF ROBBING BANK IN ROLANDO AREA

August 18, 2010 (Rolando) -- Ella Michelle English, 29, of San Diego was arrested today on suspicion of attempting to rob the Bank America at 6801 El Cajon Boulevard in the Rolando area on Monday afternoon, the FBI announced. Tips from the public led to the arrest of English following publication of of surveillance photos.

The robber used a demand note but left without receiving any cash. English was arrested today at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the vicinity of San Diego Police Department Headquarters by San Diego Police officers and detectives.
It is anticipated that English will be booked into the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) pending her appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge, on Thursday.
