October 2, 2016 (Jamul) – You’re invited to join Maness Vineyards and Highway 94 Wineries to celebrate the Fourth Annual Trail Blazers Awards Ceremony at Cottonwood Golf. Awards will be presented during the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce’s “Toast to East County” on October 22 from 12 to 4 p.m.

This unique East County Event allows you to meet the owners of many local beer crafters, wine growers and makers, organic produce growers. farm fresh cheeses as well as honey and olive oil makers plus catered local restaurant food included.

Greg Maness at Maness Vineyards offered these descriptions of the “dynamic duos” to receive this year’s Trail Blazer Awards:

Grant Spotts and Sarah Sabine
of Dulzura Vineyard and Winery/Granite Lion Cellars. Innovators of Highway 94 Wineries concept and outstanding efforts to promote wine knowledge, training and consistency in our wine industry.  Outstanding wine making skill and driving motivational force.  

Marilyn and Steve Kahle of Woof and Rose Winery in Ramona. Original Ramona Winery owners and award winning wine makers. Outstanding efforts to help build and coordinate the Wineries of Ramona and the SD County Vintners Association.

Drum McComber and Jane Moore for legendary promotional & advertising work done for our emerging county-wide wine industry. Over three decades of service, mentoring, motivational work, outstanding wine club organization, volunteer work and recipients of dozens of wine making medals.
