New owner of Santee’s The UPS Store wants to make a mark within the community and boost small biz

August 4, 2014 (Santee)-- In the fickle sea of small businesses, it’s not a piece of cake to stay afloat. Lean on each other, however, and suddenly it’s easier to survive – even thrive. That’s the new message of Santee’s local The UPS store, led by its new sole owner, Greg Gagnon.
Gagnon is revamping the store’s overall mission and culture by implementing community outreach and enhanced staff courtesy. The UPS Store #4287 has a new Facebook page where Gagnon plans to post weekly profiles about employees. The site will also feature stories from residents and other local businesses.
In addition, Gagnon will initiate a “give back” program for his staff to engage with local schools and stores. Gagnon said that his goal is for The UPS Store is to become an integral part of the Santee community – a place where small businesses can find the products and services they need, and everyone can always find a friend.
“We not only want to help you - we want to know you. With us, you’re never alone,” Gagnon said.

Located at 9625 Mission Gorge Rd. Ste. B2, The UPS Store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday until 5 p.m.
