April 19, 2015 (La Jolla) --The 59th annual meeting of the Cocci Study Group, an academic network of scientists, physicians and health activists dedicated to researching coccidioidomycosis (widely known as Valley Fever), met on April 10 at UCSD in La Jolla.

STATE ISSUES WARNING AS DISNEYLAND MEASLES OUTBREAK GROWS

January 21, 2015 (Sacramento) – Babies and people of all ages who have not been vaccinated for measles should temporarily avoid Disneyland and all public places likely to have many foreigners, due to a growing number of measles cases linked to the amusement park in Anaheim.

FLU EPIDEMIC DECLARED

 

December 31, 2014 (San Diego)--The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has declared a flu epidemic following a high number of flu cases diagnosed as well as the deaths of 15 children from influenza.
