June 5, 2017 (Lakeside) – A 37-year-old woman has died after she and a second motorcyclist parked on the shoulder of Winter Gardens Boulevard south of Creekford Road in Lakeside were struck by a Ford Taurus Monday at 8:52 p.m.

The Taurus, driven by a Lakeside man, 64, drifted right and struck the rear of the woman’s motorcycle, then continued forward and hit a second motorcycle driven by a man, 32.  The motorcyclists, both on 2015 Yamahas, were from El Cajon.  Both were ejected onto the dirt shoulders.

Medical attention was provided to all parties, but the woman died at the scene due to her injuries.  The other two drivers were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego with moderate injuries.

No other vehicles were involved and the collision remains under investigation.  It appears alcohol and or drugs were not a factor, says Officer Kevin Pearlstein with the California Highway Patrol.
