WHAT’S YOUR RISK OF TYPE 2 DIABETES? TAKE THE DIABETES RISK TEST, THEN GET FREE FOOD AT CHICK-FIL-A

March 26, 2018 (Santee) – The American Diabetes Association (ADA) in San Diego, in partnership with San Diego-area Chick-fil-A® restaurants will host an “Alert Day” promotion featuring a free food giveaway on Tuesday, March 27. Local Chick-fil-A restaurants in East County are located at 9418 Mission Gorge Road, Santee, and 8200 Parkway Dr., La Mesa.

The ADA’s Alert Day is observed annually to encourage people to determine their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by taking the ADA’s free online risk test at www.diabetes.org/alertday. The risk test takes less than 60 seconds to complete and consists of seven questions covering such topics as family history, weight and age.

Any guest who visits a local Chick-fil-A restaurant between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, and shows a completed risk test, either a paper printout from the website page or shows an electronic copy on a smart phone, can receive free Chick-fil-A Grilled Nuggets (eight count). No personal information or test results will be collected. Limit of one free entree per customer, and offer is valid only on Tuesday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Chick-fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets have been approved by the ADA as a healthy eating option for people with diabetes.

“We’re excited to partner once again with the ADA for its annual Alert Day,” said Kyle Steck, franchise operator, Chick-fil-A in Santee. “We encourage the community to take the online risk assessment and come enjoy an entrée on us.”
