September 10, 2011 (San Diego) – This week’s blackout reminded many San Diegans of the importance of being prepared before disaster strikes. On October 7, the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties will provide training on your rights to help during a major disaster such as a wildfire or earthquake.

Learn how you can support and advocate for your community during a disaster. "When disaster strikes, know your rights" will provide training on the rights of disaster evacuees. The event will be held at the El Cajon Library, 201 E. Douglas in El Cajon (next to the fire station) on October 7 from 1-3 p.m.
