WOMAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER IN EL CAJON

July 12, 2013 (El Cajon) -- Lynmarie Rodriguez, 29, of Chula Vista has been charged with attempted murder for reportedly stabbing a man at his home at 1696 Buckeye Drive in El Cajon.  According to El Cajon Police Lieutenant Frank Haye, investigators found that the woman had "attempted to rob the victim when the altercation occurred."

Police responded to a 911 call on July 11 at 2:10 a.m.  Both Rodriguez and the male victim had suffered stab wounds. The man suffered a "significant life-threatening injury" and was transported to a hospital, where he is now in stable condition, Lt. Haye reported.  Rodriguez, who was acquainted with the victim, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
