POWAY CYCLIST KILLED IN ACCIDENT

September 19, 2010 (Poway) – A Poway woman, 50, was killed today while riding her bicycle in Carlsbad, the San Diego Medical Examiner’s office reports.

 

The woman, an Asian female whose name has not been released pending notification of kin, was on a bicycle ride with her boyfriend when she attempted to make a left turn and struck a curb on Rancho Santa Fe Road. She lost control and fell into the roadway.

The driver of a Nissan Sentra was unable to avoid striking the woman, who was pinned under the car and confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics.
