April 30, 2018 (Borrego Springs) — Emergency response vehicles from Cal Fire, the San Diego County Sheriff, Borrego Fire, and State Parks were called to the scene this afternoon of a helicopter crash north of Borrego Air Ranch airstrip, east of Borrego on Stinson Road at about 1:30 p.m.
There were no fatalities, however the agencies reported that there were three air ambulances to transport three victims to area hospitals.
The crashed aircraft was believed to be operated by Big Blue Air, a Palm Springs-based helicopter charter and tour company.

“A chartered helicopter went down near Borrego Springs Airport Monday afternoon. None of the four people aboard the flight suffered more than minor injuries, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.”
