By Rebecca PersonMarch 22, 2024 (Ocotillo, CA) -- Congratulations to Kimberly Blunk, Descanso resident and owner of Rock Your World. The rock and mineral vendor held the lucky ticket and won a 1999 Jeep Renegade on Saturday, March 16 at Ocotillo’s Roadkill Chili Cookoff 2024.
« I bought 6 tickets around 9:30 [Saturday] morning! The drawing started at 2 p.m., and they called me at 2:36 to tell me I won the grand prize and to come get my Jeep! Over 9,000 tickets were sold!" the ecstatic winner says. After getting the Jeep home, she adds, "My hubby and I can’t stop looking at her! Sooo fun!"
Blunk's booth Rock Your World, where she sells gemstones and jewelry, is a popular attraction at many of East County’s fairs and festivals.
