February 17, 2015 (La Mesa) – The Helix Water District Board meets Wednseday, February 18 at 2 p.m. (7811 University Ave., La Mesa).
The agenda includes a workshop on water rate structure cost of service. Oddly, as of Tuesday afternoon, the agenda packet did not include any details on a proposed water rate structure for the public to review prior to the meeting, raising questions over adequacy of public notice under the Ralph M. Brown Act.
Board member Kathleen Coates-Hedberg indicates she asked the board to move this meeting to the evening so that more members of the public could attend, but her request was denied.
The agenda also includes a proposal to extend a contract with Noble Americas Energy Solutions and add an addendum to include fixed pricing for resource adequacy and renewable portfolio standard changes, which staff estimates could save $80,000 this fiscal year.
