May 7, 2026 (Lemon Grove) — The Lemon Grove Forward Club received 11 prestigious awards this past April from the GFWC Southern District, recognizing the club as a leading intermediate-sized organization for its outstanding servicepeop and impact.
The Lemon Grove Forward Club achieved 16,829 volunteer service hours as a collective, to achieve these top honors.
The awards highlight excellence across a wide range of community-focused initiatives, including Women’s History, Leadership, Fundraising, Domestic Violence Awareness, Civic Engagement, Advocates for Children, Health and Wellness, Communications, Arts and Culture, Environment and Membership.
These honors reflect the club’s continued commitment to meaningful service, advocacy, and community enrichment throughout Lemon Grove and the surrounding region.
In addition to these district-level recognitions, the Lemon Grove Forward Club was also named Partner of the Year by the Lemon Grove School District in April, acknowledging its strong collaboration and ongoing support of local students and educational programs.
Further underscoring its positive community impact, the club received the Lemon Grove Good Neighbor Award from The Neighborhood by GC, celebrating its dedication to fostering connection, service and neighborhood pride.
“These recognitions are a testament to the dedication of our members and the strength of our partnerships within the community,” said Teresa Rosiak Proffit, club president. “We are honored to serve Lemon Grove and will continue working to make a lasting difference.”
