SAPS AT SEA PRESENTS: STAN AND OLLIE OFF TO WAR! JUNE 3

UPDATE:  Date changed to June 3

Source:  Saps at Sea

March 9, 2017 (Spring Valley) – The Saps at Sea, the local Laurel & Hardy fan club, continues its 39th Anniversary Year on May 27 with a gathering of marvelous movie delights and hijinks!

Stan and Ollie Off to War!  And war has never been more off. First off, Donald Duck ends up working in a munitions factory in Nutzi Land in the Academy Award winning cartoon Der Feuhrer’s Face (1943). Then, join Stan, Ollie and Captain James Finlayson in the silent short, With Love and Hisses (1927). Next, the guest comedian brings laughs a plenty.

After intermission KP (NO beans), the Saps will then screen the feature. When the boys decide to accompany their friend into basic training, they cause hilarious hijinks for Sergeant Hippo whom is quickly driven nuts, in Great Guns (1941). It’s basic training for your funny bone. So, report for Active Duty to help fight off the blues and get in Sappy Shape!

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Williams Hall at Trinity Church in Spring Valley.  The show starts at 7:00 p.m.  Donations are $7 per person.
