May 12, 2026 (San Diego) — San Diego’s BalletCenter Studios[1] is set to to debut its latest production, “Snow White,” at the end of the month for three performances at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre inside The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center[2] in Rolando.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 30 (1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.) and May 31 (2 p.m.) the production will transform the Joan B. Kroc Theatre into a whimsical forest, bringing to locals a classical ballet interpretation of the story.

“Snow White” is a classic German fairy tale published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812 that solidified elements like a magic mirror, a poisoned apple and an evil queen. It was adapted into Walt Disney’s 1937 animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which defined the characters’ popular image and became a cultural mainstay.

Under the direction of Artistic Directors Michelle G. Noblejas-Bartolomei and Trystan Merrick, the BalletCenter Studios performance is more than just a retelling — it will be a sophisticated blend of classical tradition and modern storytelling. The choreography features adaptations from La Fille Mal Gardée and Coppélia,.

The production benefits from a wealth of international experience.

Noblejas-Bartolomei, the studio’s owner, brings decades of expertise from the Washington D.C. and Florida dance scenes, having trained at prestigious institutions like the Washington Ballet and Boston Ballet. Merrick, program director and a former principal artist for major companies including San Diego Ballet and City Ballet of San Diego, has performed in 18 countries.

The Joan B. Kroc Theatre is at 6611 University Ave., in San Diego. Tickets are available through the official BalletCenter Studios ticketing site[3].
