July 20,2023 (San Diego) -- San Diego resident Erik C Martin has written Storm Crows, a story about crows and their relationships.

A young crow leads his friends fleeing their flock’s oppressive leadership. They want freedom and they seek a new home near the ocean. They escape their flock’s vicious Black Wing guards and reach the coast, but their trials have only begun.

Hawks terrorize the animals of their new home. A tsunami strikes and when things look their worst, their flock leader arrives with the Black Wing to put an end to the eight rebels.

Storm Crows is about overcoming obstacles through strong community and friendships. This tension packed story is a fast read and the main characters’ actions make the story heartwarming.

In the past eight years, Martin has completed four novels. A few he published himself under his imprint, In A Bind Books, which was also the name of the bookstore that he opened in 2000 and closed in 2001.
