May 5, 2026 — One of the region’s favorite networking events is headed back to Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan later this month.
The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce’s Grip It & Rip It! Golf Tournament will take place starting with a 10:30 a.m. check in on Thursday, May 14. The 24th annual tournament will be held on Willow Glen course at Singing Hills.
More than 100 local business leaders, community advocates and Chamber members are expected to trade their suits for more casual wear for the tournament that lists a shotgun start at noon and scramble play for the day. There will a post-game celebration & awards starting at 6 p.m. on the premises.
This year’s tournament includes several hole-in-one contests courtesy of local sponsors. At Hole No. 6, Singing Hills Golf Club, a perfect shot could land you a 2026 Nissan Frontier, courtesy of El Cajon Mossy Nissan. At Hole No. 9, a brand new air conditioning unit will be provided to the first person to ace, courtesy of Maximum Heating & Air. And at Hole No. 18: Toyota of El Cajon is putting a 2026 Toyota Corolla out there for a hole in one there.
The Willow Glen course is a par 72 layout famously redesigned by Ted Robinson in 1980. Known for its narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers, the course is a “risk-reward” paradise. The Sweetwater River acts as a “natural defender,” coming into play on several holes and demanding precision over power.
Under the leadership of CEO Rick Wilson, the East County Chamber represents more than 600 members across El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, and beyond. Proceeds from the “Grip It & Rip It” event will help fund initiatives that improve business competitiveness and regional economic prosperity.
Registration fees include a full round of golf and a hosted lunch. For those looking to support the Chamber’s nonprofit mission, sponsorship opportunities and raffle donations remain open.
Interested participants can register as a Foursome ($900), Double ($500), or Individual ($300). For more information, contact the Chamber at (619) 440-6161 or email events@eastcountychamber.org
