STUDENT ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON MOUNT MIGUEL CAMPUS

April 18, 2024 (Spring Valley) – Reyvon English, 18, has been booked into San Diego County Jail for rape,  kidnapping, and other sexual assault-related charges. He allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old female student in a restroom at Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley on April 11 around 4 p.m

The victim, who was on campus for an after-school program, notified school staff,  who contacted the Sheriff’s Department immediately.

 Deputies with the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station responded and conducted extra patrols following the incident.

 

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit conducted an extensive investigation with the school’s cooperation and identified English, a fellow student, as the suspect. He was arrested after turning himself in at the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s station today.

“The safety of our students is a priority for the Sheriff’s Department. We want to remind students they can always approach our school resource deputies with any concern,” says Lieutenant  Lon Nguyen. They can also call the anonymous Students Speaking Out Hotline at (888) 580-8477.
