SUSPECT USING SCISSORS TO ROB LA MESA AM/PM STORE ARRESTED

July, 27, 2012 (La Mesa) — Before running away from the AM/PM Gas Station at 4925 Spring Street in La Mesa on July 9, a lone suspect with scissors robbed the store at about 1:40 a.m. The suspect ran away westbound from the store with a metal cash box containing petty cash. 

The cash box, mask and latex gloves were recovered along with a pair of scissors.  The investigation eventually led to a former employee, 39 year-old Tracy L. Odom of La Mesa.  On 07-26-12 , Odom was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery.  He has been booked into County Jail.
