APRIL POOLS DAY KICKS OFF WATER AWARENESS WITH EVENTS APRIL 21 and 28 IN EAST COUNTY

April 4, 2012 (San Diego) – The San Diego County Aquatic Council will be holding water awareness events throughout the county during the month of April.  In anticipation of Drowning Prevention Month in May the events will provide information on how to keep children safe around water.

Activities include free swim lessons, free recreational swim, swim with a Navy Seal, water safety/CPR presentations, infant swim lesson demonstration, Fire Department rescue demonstrations and more.  The activities will vary by site.

Dates and Locations:

April 21 (12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) – City Heights Pool, 4380 Landis St, San Diego

April 28 (12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) – Cameron Family YMCA, 10123 Riverwalk Drive, Santee

April 28 (12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) – City of La Mesa Municipal Pool, 5100 Memorial Drive, La Mesa
