Family friendly event brings together residents, businesses, and local services

April 17, 2023 (Spring Valley) — You’re invited to join a community celebration at Spring Valley Day in front of Bancroft Elementary School on April 29 from 10a.m. to 3 p.m.  Spring Valley Day is a free, street-fair style event that will feature merchants, arts and crafts, food, live entertainment, Cars and Community car show, free pony rides, free kids’ zone, first responder displays, and multiple San Diego County services.

 

WHAT: The purpose of Spring Valley Day is to raise public awareness, increase community involvement, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of Spring Valley and La Presa. The event co-presenters are the Spring Valley Community Alliance (SVCA), Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce, New Seasons Church and La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools.

 Dr. Akilah Weber, Assemblymember, 79th District

 The Office of Nora Vargas, Chairwoman, SD County Supervisors, District 1

 Braulio Sanabria, President, SVCA

 Christopher Pierce, Vice President, SVCA

WHEN: Saturday, April 29, 2023 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

WHERE: In front of Bancroft Elementary School, Spring Valley 91977

(Where Bancroft Drive and Tyler Street intersect)

WHY: SVCA is a growing, all-volunteer group of local residents and business owners working together with a shared interest in improving the quality of life, curtailing drug and alcohol related harms in the community, and increasing access to resources in the neighborhoods throughout Spring Valley and La Presa. The mission of the SVCA is to strengthen the community and passionately advocate for everyone who lives and works in the area.
