BOY INJURED IN LA MESA ROBBERY

April 29, 2011 (La Mesa) --La Mesa Police Officers received a report last night shortly after 8 p.m. of a robbery victim being treated at Grossmont Hospital. Officers responding to the hospital located a 13 year old male victim.  He told police he was walking home on Mills Street near Orchard Avenue when he was attacked from behind.

 

The victim said he was wearing his earphones and listening to music from his IPod when an unknown suspect struck him in the arm with an unknown object.  The boy said he fell to the ground in pain and the suspect took his IPod and ran away in an unknown direction. The victim never saw the suspect and was unable to provide a suspect description. No words were exchanged during the robbery.

 

The victim was treated for a contusion to his left arm and was released to his father.
