November 7, 2015 (Spring Valley)--A community meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Casa De Oro Library community room, 9805 Campo Road, Suite 180 in Spring Valley. The Institute for Public Strategies will provide a presentation on alcohol licenses in the area and share information on other community issues, with opportunities for your input.
This will be the third in a series of community meetings.
“We had a great turnout for our second community meeting regarding alcohol related harm in Casa De Oro on October 8th at the Casa De Oro Library,” says William Perno, community organizer/prevention specialist with Institute for Public Strategies. “More than 40 people attended! There were issues brought up by residents and employers regarding aggressive panhandling and loitering in the area and how the community has deteriorated. Code Enforcement, The Fire Department and The Sheriff's Department provided information regarding inspections and responding to calls for service.”
