COUPLE FOUND DEAD IN VEHICLE AT GOLDEN ACORN CASINO OF APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE

December 27; 2023 (Campo) – A San Ysidro couple reported missing under suspicious circumstances a few days before Christmas were found dead in a vehicle parked outside the Golden Acorn Casino in Campo shortly after midnight on Dec. 26.

 Border Patrol agents discovered the vehicle and bodies and San Diego Police homicide detectives responded.  

According to an SDPD press release, the man appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head; the department determined his death was a suicide. SDPD is investigating the woman’s death as a homicide, with her husband  the lone suspect. 

SDPD calls this a "tragic case of domestic violence."

 

Names of the victims have not yet been released, however the man was 52 years old and Hispanic, while the woman was 45 and Filipina, according to SDPD.
