March 9, 2011 (San Diego's East County)--Do you do any upper body exercises on your dog walk? If you are like most people, you either run or walk with your dog, which is a great lower body workout but what about the upper body?

Pushups are an upper body exercise that will benefit your chest, triceps, shoulders and core. Fortunately, they can be done almost anywhere! While doing them, you can practice dog obedience by telling your dog to lie down and stay.

Please check out a short video that explains the proper way to do a pushup.  Working your upper body is just as important as the lower. I hope you find this helps you!
