May 3, 2023 (El Cajon) - Last night, ECM Sports took in the boys on the lacrosse pitch, so tonight, we checked in on the ladies as we went to El Cajon to take in the lady Eagles as they hosted the lady Vaqueros from El Capitan in the last game of the regular season.  Both squads are having outstanding seasons; the Eagles are 12-4 overall with a 9-2 record in the Grossmont League.  The Vaqueros are an incredible 14-4 overall and 10-3 in league.

Sophomore Natalie Andrews tallied first for the Vaqueros, but Granite Hills quickly tied it up on a goal from Natalie Acosta.  They took the lead with five minutes left in the half and went up by two a few seconds later.  Acosta netted her second goal and secured the hat trick a few minutes later.  Sophia Lindo scored the tipped in goal and the Eagles led 6-1 after one half.

Lindo scored twice in the second half to secure the second Eagles hat trick of the night.  Senior Trinity Schelin tried to help the Vaqueros climb back into it with a goal, but Lindo scored her fourth of the night.  Junior Kayla Targos did her best to keep El Cap in it, but another goal from the blue and white put them in double digits and give them the 10-3 victory.  The Eagles end their season 13-4 overall and 10-2 in league.  The Vaqueros end at 14-5 overall and 10-4 in the Grossmont league.
