EL CAJON SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR TEEN COALITION

September 24, 2019 (El Cajon) --“Engage, educate, and empower!” These are the goals of the City’s Teen Coalition. The City is seeking members to serve on the 2019-20 Teen Coalition. With monthly meetings at Renette Recreation Center, members will develop their leadership skills, get involved through community service, and explore strategies to address youth issues. The coalition sponsors the annual “Youth of the Year” award which recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in serving their community. 

Candidates must be:

  • Residents of El Cajon or attend a school within the city limits;
  • In grades 6th through 12th; and,
  • Under the age of 19 years old as of September 1, 2019. 

 

Applications are available at middle and high schools in El Cajon, all City recreation centers, as well as on the City’s website. Completed applications must be turned into the Recreation Department at City Hall by Thursday, October 17, 2019.
