July 11, 2023 (El Cajon) – The bodies of two brothers, Wilburn Burchette, 84, and Kenneth Burchette, 76, were found in their home on July 9.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call reporting a death that evening and found the two bodies. “Both men appeared to have been deceased for some time,” says Lieutenant Joseph Jarjura with the San Diego County Sheriff’s department.
The Sheriff’s homicide unit is investigating the circumstances. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause and manner of the deaths.
“There are no outstanding suspects and there is no threat to the community,” Lt. Jarjura says.
