FIGHT LEADS TO STABBING IN LAKESIDE

April 9, 2016 (Lakeside) – A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in Lakeside last night.

“The attack occurred after the victim and his friends became involved in an argument in the 9700 block of Los Coches Road,” said Sergeant David Hale with the Sheriff’s department. “The argument progressed into a fight and the victim was stabbed by one of the persons in the group.”   The victim and his companions were not able to identify the suspect of the assault, who were described as either white or Hispanic males. 

A friend transported the victim to a convenience store in Alpine, where they were contacted by deputies dispatched at 9:30 p.m.  The victim was transported to a hospital with two puncture wounds to his chest, however the injuries were not considered life threatening, Sgt. Hale said.

The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (888)580-8477. You can remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to a felony arrest.
