HIGH SPEED CHASE ENDS IN CRASH, INJURING TWO

December 16, 2010 (San Diego) – A woman, 31, suspected of assault with a deadly weapon at 7102 Astoria Street in East San Diego led police on a high-speed chase for several miles shortly after midnight. After running a red light at eastbound Imperial and Valencia Parkway, the suspect collided with a Toyota that was making a left turn.

 

The driver of the Toyota, a woman in her 20s, was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition. The suspect was also taken to a trauma center in serious condition.

 

San Diego Police Officer David Stafford reports the suspect will be charged with felony DUI and felony failure to yield.
