KNIFE-WIELDING ROBBER HOLDS UP BANK IN EL CAJON

May 25, 2010 (El Cajon) Chase Bank at 966 North Johnson in El Cajon was robbed at 9:45 this morning by a man who went behind the bank counter and contronted an employee with a knife, demanding cash.

Witnesses said the robber walked around the bank several times before entering. He is described as a black man about 20 to 25 years old, 5’8” to 6’0” in height, weight 180– 200 lbs., armed with a folding knife.

 

He fled in a westerly direction after receiving an undetermined amount of cash. It is unknown if he continued on foot or if he used a vehicle to flee the scene. No one was injured and the investigation is continuing.
