LEMON GROVE FIRE RECEIVES EQUIPMENT FROM GARY SINISE FOUNDATION GRANT

June 13, 2023 (Lemon Grove) -- Today, Heartland Fire & Rescue announces that the Lemon Grove Fire Department has received a grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation, which provided the department with over $26,000 in much needed equipment.

Included in the purchase was several sets of turnouts (turnouts are the protective clothing worn by firefighters), a portable turnout dryer, and specialized firefighting boots.

“We would like to thank them for their generous support,” says Andy McKellar, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
