LEMON GROVE LIBRARY OFFERS BILINGUAL PARENTING WORKSHOPS

October 2, 2018 (Lemon Grove) - During the month of October, the Lemon Grove Library is hosting a free series of bilingual parenting workshops to empower families in the area. The workshops are offered in partnership with the Lemon Grove School District and address a variety of topics of interest to families with school-aged children in the district.

The workshop series starts Tuesday, October 2nd with Dr. Beatriz Villarreal, founder of Mano a Mano Foundation, who will speak about The Power of Education. The series continues on Wednesday, October 10th with math teacher Shelley Ferguson, who will speak about Understanding Common Core Math. The last workshop in the series takes place on Wednesday, October 17th and discusses Ten Steps to Financial Success. That workshop will be presented by Kyle Koenig from San Diego County Credit Union.

All three workshops run from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Library branch. The sessions will be presented in English and translated to Spanish. Parents can attend one, two or all three workshops and registration is not required. Child care and refreshments will be provided.
