LIGHTS, CAMERAS, ACTION! FILM FESTIVAL AT GROSSMONT COLLEGE AUG. 8

August 3, 2009 (El Cajon)  Grossmont College in El Cajon will host a one-day film festival featuring 20 films produced by students and independent filmmakers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. The public is invited to attend. An all-day admission ticket is $5. In addition to film viewing, workshops will be delivered on script writing, casting calls and tips on how to make a film for under $500.

 

Speakers will include actress Mickey Harrison, filmmaker Michael Gier, cinematographer John Snedden and Kathy McCurdy, location manager with the San Diego Film Commission. Films in a variety of genres, including music videos, horror, comedy, drama, mystery, education and documentary, will be viewed at the college’s Stagehouse Theatre, located on campus near Parking Lot #1 and the exterior Aztec wall mural.
