February 10, 2010 (Santee)—If you’re a Santee resident who would like to represent your city as a community ambassador and be eligible for scholarships, the Miss Santee Contest wants to hear from you. The competition is open to women ages 13-26. (Girls ages 6-12 should contact pageant officials for information on the Santee Princess Program.) Entry is free! Deadline is February 21st.

Scholarships of $750 and $350 will be awarded to Miss Santee and Miss Santee Teen, respectively. The pageant will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Sonrise Church in Santee. Modest? Not to worry—there is no swimsuit competition.

Contestants will be scored in the following categories: Interview (35% of total score), Poise and Personality (25% of total score), Sportswear (15% of total score), Evening Gown (15% of total score), On Stage Impromptu Question (10% of total score).
