August 15 (Thursday, 7:30 p.m.) — Join Q Karmue as he discusses and signs his new book, Witness: A Civil War Through The Eyes of A Child. Quanuquanei A. Karmue, better known as Q, is a survivor of the Liberian Civil War, activist, artist, and president/founder of Save More Kids, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of Liberia's children and rebuilding a country left in devastating conditions.

August 16 (Friday, 7:00 p.m.) — T Jefferson Parker signs The Last Good Guy. As a newspaper reporter for The Newport Ensign, then later the Daily Pilot newspaper where he won three Orange County Press Club awards, T. Jefferson Parker began to tuck away stories and information that he would eventually use for his books. Mr. Parker’s first novel, Laguna Heat,was published to rave reviews and became an HBO movie.
