ROBBERS TAKE “DOUGH” FROM YUM-YUM STORE

February 8, 2011 (La Mesa) -- La Mesa Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at Yum Yum Donuts, 7550 El Cajon Blvd., at 2:28 a.m. Two employees reported that a pair of armed male suspects stole cash, then fled on foot.

 

 

The first suspect jumped over the counter, displayed a silver handgun, and ordered a female employee to open the cash register. A second suspect entered the back area of the business and ordered a male employee to open the safe. Both employees did as they were ordered. The suspects took money from both the register and safe, and then fled. No vehicle was seen.

 

The suspects have not been located. The Yum Yum Donut employees were not injured during the robbery. Descriptions of the suspects are as follows:

 

Suspect #1: White male, early 20’s, 5’-7” to 5’8”, 170 Lbs. He was wearing a black hat, dark bandana over his face, black jacket, and green motocross type gloves. Suspect #1 was armed with a silver revolver.

 

Suspect #2: Hispanic male, early 20’s, 5’-7” to 5’-9”, 180 Lbs. He was wearing a blue ski hat, dark colored jacket, jeans and dark gloves. Unknown if Suspect #2 was armed.
