RUN WOMEN RUN PRESENTS: RUNNING FOR SCHOOL BOARD WORKSHOP MAY 15

April 28, 2012 (San Diego) – Run Women Run is offering a Running for School Board workshop on May 15 from  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hera Hub Workspace for Women, 9710 Scranton Road, Suite 160, San Diego.  Many women begin political careers by running for a school board.  The workshop panelists will provide behind the scenes information about what it takes to run and win, the different types of school boards, the responsibilities and time commitment and the lessons they’ve learned.

The panelists include Dede Alpert, former CA State Senator, Penny Rantfle a member of the Poway Unified School District Board of Education, and Carol Skiljan, a member of the Encinitas Union School District Board of Education.

The tickets for the event are $25 for Run Women Run members and $35 for non-members.  They may be purchased online at Run Women Run.

Run Women Run is a nonpartisan membership organization founded in 2008 to inspire, mentor, train and support women in public office in the state and local government.
