SDSU LACROSSE FALLS TO COLORADO 17-4

April 7, 2023 (Boulder, Colo.) - The Aztec lacrosse team (5-9) fell to Colorado (6-5) 17-4 Friday afternoon. The Buffaloes got off to an early scoring run, leading the Aztecs 9-2 at halftime. The Aztecs were unable to catch up after consistent offensive production from the Buffaloes, falling to Colorado 17-4.

Deanna Balsama led the Aztecs in scoring after netting two goals, while Sydney Wolfington and Sara Toner contributed one each.

Colorado outshot SDSU 42-12 and 27-10 in shots on goal. They also had a 20-5 advantage over the Aztecs in draw controls.

Maggie Marion led the team with three caused turnovers.

Goalkeeper Sam Horan had 10 saves on the day.

UP NEXT 

The Aztecs will return to San Diego to take on Arizona State on Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the Aztec Lacrosse Field.
