SDSU rallies from a seventh-place start with a final round 7-under 281

April 4, 2023 (Scottsdale) - The San Diego State men’s golf team fired a final round-low 7-under 281 Tuesday to win the tournament for the third consecutive time on the par-72, 7,334-yard Whirlwind Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ranked 28th in the latest GolfStat computer ratings, the Aztecs (-7) edged Kansas (-6) by a stroke, while Missouri (-1), Long Beach State (+2) and host Wyoming (+2) rounded out the top five. 

Chanachon Chokprajakchat tied for fourth at 6-under 210 to pace SDSU, while Shea Lague (-1) tied for 12th, and Dylan Oyama and Justin Hastings were a shot behind in a tie for 16th at even-par 216.

 

The Aztecs return to action at the Western Intercollegiate April 10-12 at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, California.
