March 7, 2023 (Fairfax, Calif.) - The Aztec women’s golf team wrapped up the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational Tuesday, finishing their interrupted second round and then playing the final round.

The Aztecs were led by Bernice Olivarez Ilas who shot a 74 in her second round and then a 76 in the final 18 to finish with a nine-over-par 225 and tie for 41^st.

Anna Lina Otten, who had the best SDSU score in the first round with a 73, shot a 79 in the second round and then rebounded to shoot a 76 to finish one stroke behind Olivarez Ilas.

After shooting a 76 in each of her first two rounds, Andrea Gomez finished with a 77 in the third round Tuesday.

Sammy Lee tied with Gomez. She had a 74 in her second round, which was highlighted by an eagle on the par five 464-yard ninth hole, before shooting a 78. 

Anika Sato carded a two-over-par 74 in her first round and then shot a 79 and 77 in the last two rounds.

Stanford won the team championship with a six-under-par 858 and also had the individual winner (Rose Zhang).

UP NEXT

The Aztecs are off until March 24-26 when they’ll play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia’s home course.
