December 10, 2023 (Spring Valley) -- The Spring Valley Community Planning Group advises San Diego County regarding planning and land use matters. The group’s responsibilities include discussion, voting, and advising the County on decisions regarding construction projects or just changes to commercial and residential properties.

But there is more. The group has various County agencies present and advise so that the group can be constantly aware of all facets of community life in Spring Valley. Ranging from current construction projects, land use planning, law enforcement, traffic, parks, and the impact of local, state, and federal legislation on our community. The group is a constantly updated source of all things Spring Valley.

The group consists of 15 community members and there are currently two vacant positions. To function effectively, it is best to have a full slate of members to be the eyes, ears, and voice of Spring Valley regarding the wide range of topics. If you are interested in being a deciding factor for improving and protecting this community, please use the information below.

The Spring Valley Community Planning Area encompasses approximately eleven square miles of the unincorporated portion of the County of San Diego. The Planning Area is located to the east of the cities of San Diego, and Lemon Grove. Several neighborhoods are located within Spring Valley. Those include: Bancroft, Brookside, Spring Valley, La Presa, Dictionary Hill, and Sweetwater Village.

For anyone who wonders how they can be a force for improving and protecting Spring Valley, please contact Christopher Pierce, Chair, Spring Valley Planning Group, @ svcpg4@gmail.com

Thanks for considering this worthwhile opportunity to make a difference in Spring Valley!
