BUNDLE UP: COLD STORM TO HIT REGION FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

April 7, 2011 (San Diego's East County) ---A cold storm system from western Canada will impact our area Friday morning through Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service predicts.

 

Rain and mountain snow are expected to begin early Friday morning and continue throughout the day. Cold air aloft with increase thunderstorm potential late in the day.

 

Snow levels could lower to around 3500 feet by late Friday night with 5 to 10 inches of snow expected above 5,000 feet. Gusty winds up to 60 mph are forecast in the mountains and desert tonight.
