June 11, 2023 (Denver) - The Padres went for the sweep today in Denver.  Blake Snell started against Dinelson Lamet for Colorado.

Today, the Rockies got the hot start as Ezequiel Tovar homered in the first and Colorado led 1-0 after one.

Juan Soto tied the game in the third with a sac fly that scored Fernando Tatis Jr. and we were tied at one after three.

Jake Cronenworth broke through in the fourth, golfing a two-run homer to right and the Padres led 3-1 after four.

It looked like the Friars were good to go, but in the eighth, Coco Montes, in his first MLB game, smashed a two-run homer to left and we were tied at three after eight.

But someone upstairs must really like the Padres, as in the ninth, Justin Lawrence threw a wild pitch, allowing Ha-Seong Kim to score from third, but the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away as Ryan McMahon homered to right in the home half of the ninth to tie the game at four before we went into rain delay.

After the delay, Nolan Jones walked it off with a solo blast to right and the Rockies avoided the sweep with a 5-4 win.
