ECM PADRES REPORT: NATS CALMLY DROP PADRES TO EVEN SERIES

June 24, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres won big last night, so they looked to take the series today with Josiah Gray on the hill for Washington against new Padre Matt Waldron.

Today, the Nationals struck first.  Jeimer Candelario hit a solo homer in the first and the Nats led 1-0 after one.
 
Lane Thomas hit a solo homer to left in the third and the Nats easily bumped off the Padres with a 2-0 win.
 
UP NEXT
 
The rubber game tomorrow is at 1:10 p.m.  Ex-Padre MacKenzie Gore starts for the Nats against Seth Lugo.
