ECM PADRES REPORT: PADRES BOUNCE BACK ON NIGHT TWO

April 11, 2023 (New York) - The Padres were blanked for the first time in 2023 last night in New York.  They tried again tonight with Ryan Weathers on the mound against David Peterson for the Mets.

The Mets struck first again in the fourth with Mark Canha’s sacrifice fly that scored Francisco Lindor, but Manny Machado erased it with a two-RBI double in the fifth and the Padres led 2-1 after five.

 
Xander Bogaerts blew the game open with a two-run homer in the ninth and the Padres got revenge for last night and evened the series with a 4-2 win (Tommy Pham had an RBI single in the ninth
