August 23, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres made no effort to win yesterday and the Marlins evened the series.  Both went for the win today.  Sandy Alcantara started for Miami against Seth Lugo.

Juan Soto singled in the first to score Ha-Seong Kim and the Padres led 1-0 after one.

Xander Bogaerts added insurance in the sixth with a two-run homer and Fernando Tatis Jr. singled in the seventh to score Garrett Cooper and the Padres miraculously won a series with a 4-0 win.
