June 4, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres and Cubs have one game apiece and looked to take the series today.  Marcus Stroman started for Chicago against Ryan Weathers.

The only Padres run today was a Trent Grisham score in the third.  The rest was all Cubs.  Ian Happ singled in the first to score Nico Hoerner, Yan Gomes and Trey Mancini homered in the second, Dansby Swanson doubled to score two and Miguel Amaya blasted a two-run homer in the third and the Cubs took the series 7-1.
