June 1, 2023 (Miami) - The Padres kicked off June in Miami. What a beautiful place to be. They were playing for the series today with Grossmont High alum Joe Musgrove on the mound against Jesus Luzardo for the Marlins.
The only run scored by the Marlins was in the third. Otherwise it was all Padres. In the fourth, Fernando Tatis Jr. doubled to score Ha-Seong Kim and Brandon Dixon hit a sac fly to score him. Gary Sanchez homered in the fifth, Dixon singled in the sixth to score Tatis Jr., Jake Cronenworth singled to score Xander Bogaerts, Sanchez singled to score two and Tatis Jr. put the cherry on top with a three-RBI double and the Padres blasted the Marlins to take the series with a 10-1 win.
